St. Lucia Carnival Dates change

The Cultural Development Foundation after some deliberations has now officially announced that the launch of St. Lucia Carnival 2010, will now take place on June 06, 2010 at Samaans Park, Choc Bay.  The launch of Carnival was originally scheduled for May 30th but due to some un-foreseen circumstances namely funding issues and confirmation of venues for this years events things had to change.

The CDF was also given the go ahead to host some Carnival activities at its traditional location Mindoo Phillip park but only under strict conditions, which was that a solution had to be found to preserve the conditions of the grounds whilst activities took place there. We have heard that the CDF is in the process of acquiring suitable covering for the grounds which will be able to with stand all the trampling and movement of vehicles and also preserve the conditions of the Mindoo Phillip Grounds which has just recently gone under some major repairs costing almost EC One Million dollars.

St. Lucia Carnival ensures everyone that we will keep on top of these developments and inform everyone o any changes as soon as they occur.
