Its Getting Toxik! for 2011

This carnival, revelers of Toxik carnival can look forward to the excitement associated from the band’s 2011 carnival presentation. Toxik Carnival in its fourth year has rebranded all in an effort to continue evolving its carnival experience and being a distinct party band, so says bandleader Jason Hullingseed.

In season four, the band unveils “Incantation” as its presentation, a theme driven by the realities of life. Incantation, meaning a spell or a charm will be portrayed in two divisions – Black Magic and White Magic.

White Magic will feature sections portraying the wonders of the world, vanities that persons long for as white magic seeks to heal and provide that overwhelming feeling. Black Magic meanwhile is intended to cause harm, is evil and will feature sections portraying the dark side of life and the world.

Upon entering the carnival arena in 2008, Mr. Hullingseed says, Toxik has grown to encompass a full spectrum of events which includes its regular bakkanal by the bay on Sundays @ choc beach and other fringe events leading towards carnival in July. The Grande band launch is scheduled for May 14 @ Gaiety^.

With less than four months until St.Lucia carnival 2011; the members of Toxik Carnival Mr. Hullingseed says are enthused about the features that will add to the winning ingredients of innovative and party mas. That consists of a “Queen and King of Carnival” and individual costumes that will certainly add to the glitz and glamour of the parades.
